there really is nothing more satisfying than spontaneously emailing your kindergarten teacher to thank her for changing your life.
...except for, perhaps, getting an email in reply saying that i changed hers.
I LOVE PAPER EXTENSIONS!!!!!
this week is no longer "Amy's Worst Week Ever."
but,
next week will take that title, for sure.
procrastination isnt a habit, its a way of life.
i just had to laugh today when i looked at my summer list.
people at home, as well as at school, can attest to my incessant ranting about things to do, things to dream about, things to try, things to see. and how we should do it all rightatthismoment(!), to feel fulfillment.
of course, it is never done. it really is ranting. blabbering. and i know youre sick of hearing my "next grand scheme."
my summer list right now contains about 10 different locations to visit: from portland, oregon, to the grand canyon, to alaska, to the yosemite wilderness. there are about 20 books listed: author's last name, first name, and title, underlined, in that order, of course. dozens of job ideas. people i need to keep in touch with. things i want to make, things i want to write, things i want to watch. goals for self-improvement/empowerment.
and let's not even get started on the list of majors/careers/livelihoods/lifetime goals that are scattered around the margins of this now tattered and ink-filled piece of college-ruled paper.
what is depressing about this projection of my ideals is that 99.9% of these goals will probably never be fulfilled, given my current rate of sucess.
but i think this summer i want to change that.
not that i have to go to the grand canyon, or design my life for the next 3 decades.
but keep in touch with the friends ive made here, pursue the knowledge i know i want to posess, find a good job, and work on
myself.
of course, then that would leave still 99.8% of what is on my list to be desired... but i suppose its a start. just like walking at a slower pace.
but, regardless of location, or brand, warm clothes are always the best to wear to bed.
general foods' international coffees italian cappuccino really does not suffice when youve had the real thing.
